WHAT TO EXPECT IF YOUR VEHICLE HAS BEEN IMPOUNDED

In the event your vehicle has been impounded, please note the following tips to make your release as efficient and speedy as possible!

 

We typically release vehicles during regular business hours only but may make an exception in the case of a personal impound on the weekend (we ONLY release RCMP impounds during business hours unless contact has been made with the office and other arrangments were made during regular hours, NO exceptions, and absolutely NO releases are done after dark). Please Call before arriving at the office to ensure staff is prepared to release your vehicle, and that the necessary documentation is in place.

PERSONAL IMPOUNDS

To claim your vehicle you will need, without exception, the following documents:

-valid driver’s license or government issued photo ID

-proof of ownership* (ie vehicle registration, insurance paperwork)

-and a method of payment (ie Visa/Mastercard/Interac and of course, & cash. We do not accept personal checks).

 

If you are sending someone else to pick up your vehicle, Please arrange this with office staff prior to sending this person to our office.

RCMP IMPOUNDS (3/7/30 DAYS)

To claim your RCMP-impounded vehicle you will need, without exception, the following documents:

-the Vehicle Impound Release (acquirable from any local Motor Vehicle Branch; 3 and 7 day impounds do not require this release only 30 day suspensions)

-valid driver’s license or government issued photo ID,

-method of payment (ie Visa/Mastercard/Interac and of course, & cash)

If you are sending someone else to pick up your vehicle, they must arrive with an Owner’s Authorization form (acquirable from any driver’s licensing branch). Please arrange this with office staff prior to sending this person to our office..
